Chaska homeowners can purchase shade trees this spring

  • Updated: April 13, 2013 - 8:16 PM

Chaska residents have until Friday to purchase shade trees at wholesale prices through the city’s Public Works Department. The annual program is open only to Chaska property owners and is designed to both replace lost trees and add to the city’s tree population.

The trees include ornamentals, maples, oaks, spruce and pine, with prices ranging from $60 to $175. The trees are between 1.75 and 2.5 inches in diameter, and are balled and bagged. No trees are under warranty because they are at wholesale prices.

The Public Works Department will deliver the trees curbside for a charge of $3. The offer is available only in the spring, and no fall tree program will be offered.

Orders can be placed by visiting or calling Chaska City Hall at 952-448-9200 during business hours. More information is available at the city’s website at www.chaskamn.com or by contacting Brian Jung in the Public Works Department at 952-227-7713 or at bjung@chaskamn.com.
