Michael Krzyzaniak is described as white, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Greenfield is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. While federal authorities have distributed to law enforcement a flier that includes photos of the two men, they have yet to make those images available to the news media.

Sicoli said Krzyzaniak has a heart condition and was likely to be released by the time he was in his early 70s. Now he faces another two or three years for escaping. “The feds always catch you,” Sicoli said.

Greenfield’s attorney, Ron Meshbesher, declined to comment about his client’s flight.

Anyone with information about either escapee is encouraged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-218-720-3214 or call 911.

Krzyzaniak was sentenced for his role in promoting development projects that never happened.

They included a resort and housing development in Desert Hot Springs, Calif., that included a Mickelson-designed golf course; and a NASCAR-style racetrack in the Elko New Market area
