One person died early this morning in a single-vehicle crash on I-694 at Shingle Creek Pkwy., and another last night in a two-vehicle crash on I-94 at Cedar Avenue.
One person died early this morning in a single-vehicle crash in Brooklyn Center on Interstate Hwy. 694 at Shingle Creek Pkwy., the State Patrol website said.
According to the Patrol:
The driver of a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, traveling in the right lane westbound, lost control at about 1:45 a.m.
The vehicle crossed all lanes of I-694 and I-94, and hit a median divider head on.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
The driver has been identified as Danielle J. Pound, 20, of Plymouth.
And a two-vehicle crash in Minneapolis on Interstate Hwy. 94 last night left one person dead, the State Patrol website said.
According to the Patrol:
A Chevy Malibu traveling at a high rate of speed on I-94, eastbound at Cedar Avenue at about 10 p.m., hit the rear of a Ford Taurus.
The driver lost control and the Malibu rolled up an embankment and through the noise wall barrier.
Two teens, passengers in the Malibu, were in critical condition today.
One is a 16-year-old, of Plymouth, and the other a 19-year-old whose hometown has not been identified.
Johnathon L. Reuben, 27, of Norwood Young America, was a passenger in the Taurus. His condition was not reported.
The driver of the Taurus was Christopher S. Coppin, 33, of Maple Plain. His condition has not been released.
