A man believed to have held up four banks and a credit union over a three-week period allegedly struck again Wednesday afternoon when he robbed a Roseville bank, the Minneapolis FBI said.
The suspect handed a threatening note to a teller at the Premier Bank at 1875 W. Hwy. 36 around 3:55 p.m. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, said Special Agent Paul McCabe.
Surveillance photos show that the culprit is a black man with a dark complexion with some facial hair. He is believed to be in his mid to late 20s, is between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches, 150 pounds and of a medium build. The robber was wearing a black and red baseball cap with the letter A, a white T-shirt under a red short-sleeved collared shirt and dark-colored jeans.
McCabe said the robber is a suspect in a string of heists over the past three weeks. He allegedly held up the Western Bank in Oakdale on April 28, the Como Northtown Community Credit Union in St. Paul on May 2, the Main Street Bank in Forest Lake on May 5, a U.S. Bank in Duluth on May 7 and a TCF Bank in Hastings May 9.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. Anybody with information can call the FBI at 612-376-3200.
