Last update: May 13, 2008 - 11:52 PM

An Inver Grove Heights woman could serve up to five years in jail for knowingly filing a false tax return.

Linda Mae Myers, 55, pleaded guilty Monday before Judge David Doty in United States District Court to one count of filing a false tax return in 2004. According to her plea agreement, Myers admitted that on Oct. 11, 2005 she filed a federal tax return that showed her business, Myers Trucking in South St. Paul, lost $6,888 when the actual business income was in excess of $100,000.

A sentencing date has not been set.
