A former beauty school operator and owner in St. Paul is looking at a year in prison for filing false income tax returns.
Viet Quoc Nguyen, formerly of the Twin Cities area and now living in Puerto Rico, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis after pleading guilty last fall.
The false returns cover years 2001-2003 and resulted in underpayments of nearly $70,000.
