What's open and closed on MLK Day

Post offices: Closed.

Banks: Bremer branches will be closed, but the phone bank and service will be open. TCF in-store and traditional branches will be open normal hours. Wells Fargo in-store and traditional branches will be closed. US Bank traditional branches will be closed. Byerly's in-store branches will be open normal hours.

Groceries: Major supermarkets will be open.

Malls: Most will be open.

Mass transit: Metro Transit buses and light-rail trains will follow regular schedules. For route information, call 612-373-3333 or go to www.metrotransit.org. Most Minnesota Valley Transit Authority routes will follow regular schedules, as will Maple Grove Transit, Plymouth Metrolink and Southwest Metro Transit. Call Metro Mobility for its service information.

Parking meters: Won't be enforced in Minneapolis and St. Paul or at the University of Minnesota. Minneapolis parks will enforce meters unless noted on meters.

Schools: Some public schools will be closed. The University of Minnesota will not hold classes.

Public agencies: Local, state and federal offices closed.

Libraries: Generally closed. Call for hours.
