A man arrested in connection with a home invasion and shooting in Watertown, Minn., has been charged with five felonies, said Carver County Sheriff Bud Olson.
Ryan Carl Lindeen, 44, allegedly entered his a relative's house around 6:15 a.m. Thursday without permission to settle a dispute over a rifle. He got into a dispute with a male occupant and a struggle ensued. During the scuffle, the .22-caliber rifle discharged and a bullet hit a female resident in the upper arm and lower leg, a court complaint said.
Lindeen, who is the woman's uncle, then left the house on the 13600 block of Hwy. 25 with the rifle and fled in a green Mustang after the victim's husband called 911, the complaint said.
Lindeen was arrested several hours later in neighboring McLeod County.
The woman taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries and was later released, Olson said. Lindeen was charged Monday with first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing substantial bodily injury, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and a felon in possession of a firearm. Lindeen was convicted for first-degree burglary in 1984. He is currently in the Carver County Jail.
