Last update: May 5, 2008 - 4:38 PM

A man from Erskine, Minn., was sentenced today in Minneapolis to more than three years in prison for robbing a credit union robbery in Moorhead with a knife last August.

David J. Dornbach, 46, was sentenced before U.S. District Judge David Doty to 41 months in prison.

According to court documents, Dornbach told an Affinity Plus Credit Union employee that he wanted to open an account. While meeting with a representative, Dornbach pulled out a knife, reached over the employee's desk and demanded money.

The employee gave Dornbach $7,689.

The suspect left the credit union and was apprehended later that day in a hotel room in Fargo.
