A 54-year-old man was identified Saturday as Minneapolis' last homicide victim of 2012. Tjioyan Funderburke was stabbed to death in his south Minneapolis apartment Dec. 29, allegedly by a neighbor who wanted another drink and argued with him. He was 2012's 41st homicide.

The neighbor, Rick Martinez, 34, also known as Andrew Riyadh Terrell, is charged with second-degree intentional murder.

Funderburke's two roommates in the apartment building on the 5700 block of 33rd Avenue S. told police they had been drinking with Martinez, who lived across the hall. According to the complaint in the case, Martinez left the room, then returned and stabbed the victim.

Police received a 911 call the next morning telling them neighbors were detaining him.
