Weekend road closures: I-35W, Hwy 61, I-494 ramp, I-35E

Interstate 35W in Richfield

1 - Interstate 35W from Interstate 494 to Hwy. 62 will be closed in both directions from 10 tonight until 5 a.m. Monday while construction crews demolish the 76th Street bridge over I-35W in Richfield. Detour routes:

• For eastbound I-494: Hwy. 77 north, to Hwy. 62 west, to I-35W north

• For westbound I-494: Hwy. 100 north, to Hwy. 62 east, to I-35W north

Motorists should use alternative routes. The new 76th Street bridge is to be completed in November.

Hwy. 61 in Hastings

2 - Hwy. 61 in both directions at Hwy. 55 will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday for bridge construction.

Hwy. 61 in Cottage Grove

3 - The left lane of Hwy. 61 in both directions between Jamaica Avenue and 80th Street will be closed from 8 a.m. today until about 3 p.m. Saturday. In addition, the entrance ramp at 80th Street will be closed from 11 a.m. today until about 4 p.m. Saturday for maintenance.

I-494 ramp closures in Richfield

4 - The ramp from I-494 west to I-35W north is closed until mid- June. The ramp from I-494 east to I-35W north is closed until mid-November. Both closures are due to the replacement of the 76th Street bridge in Richfield.

Interstate 35E

5 - I-35E south from Interstate 94 west to W. 7th Street will be closed for major road construction from 7 p.m. May 9 until May 12.

Hwy. 12

6 - Hwy. 12 in both directions from Hennepin County Road 6 to County Road 83 will be reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. Monday until May 10. Alternating lane closures will occur daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
