Battle 'bots at the Mall

What: More than 20 teams, from high-schoolers to adults, will put their battling, remote-controlled robots to the test at the "Rotunda Rumble."

Where: Mall of America rotunda.

When: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Cost: Free to watch.

How it works: Double-elimination tournament with three-minute rounds in a Plexiglas cage.

'Bot to watch: Humdinger 2, the brainchild of Matt Gallagher of Buffalo High School, has a whirling saw blade that chews up its rivals.
