MONDAY

Apple Valley: Students and staff honor veterans at 9 a.m. assembly. Apple Valley High School.

Canby High School, VFW Post 117 and American Legion posts in the area will be recognized. All school students will be in attendance with student performances. 10 a.m., school gym, 1st Street W. 507-223-7261.

Rosemount: Dakota County Technical College, "Still Standing," state Rep. and Staff Sgt. John Kriesel will speak. 7 p.m. 1300 E. 145th St., 651-450-3000.

Eden Prairie's Grace Church, "We Salute Our Veterans Program," with special recognition of POWs. Keynote speaker Ret. Lt. Gen. Gerald Boykin. 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Road.
