An online public school affiliated with the Fergus Falls School District is expanding its program to include elementary students.

IQ Academy Minnesota, an accredited online public school that has offered classes for middle school and senior high students since 2008, is now accepting applications for students in kindergarten through the fifth grade. Classes for newly enrolled students will start Jan. 7.

The program, which provides students who reside in Minnesota with an alternative to traditional classroom learning, combines personalized instruction from state- licensed teachers with innovative curriculum to deliver individualized learning.

About 370 students were enrolled in the academy at the start of the fall semester.

Prospective students interested in the elementary program can enroll at www.iqacademymn.org/enroll-now or by calling an enrollment adviser at 1-877-994-4766. Applications will be taken through spring.
