The U.S. Census Bureau released a report this week detailing average income based on college majors. Those who majored in engineering earned the highest average incomes, while visual and performing arts majors earned the least.

The table below shows the average income in 2011 based on undergraduate major. The U.S. Census Bureau found that 59 million people 25 years and older earned a bachelor's degree or higher.

According to the report, education was the second most popular major, at 8 million. Education majors, however, were the least likely to be employed full-time and also earned the second-lowest average income.
