Three traffic accidents in Minneapolis, Eden Prairie and Roseville have left two people, including an infant girl, dead. Three others were in critical condition Saturday night.

Lucille Sailor, the infant, died Saturday, following a chain-reaction crash at about 4 p.m. Friday on Interstate 494 in Eden Prairie. Five eastbound vehicles were stopped on I-494 near Hwy. 169, when a sixth vehicle switched lanes behind them and rear-ended the back car.

The infant's father, Derek Sailor, 28, who was driving a Toyota Camry, remained in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Hennepin County Medical Center on Saturday, said Christine Hill, a hospital spokeswoman.

The infant's mother said the baby's organs were being donated to Lifesource, the organ procurement organization, Hill said.

The driver of the vehicle that collided with the other vehicles, Bradley Nadeau, 30, of Savage, Minn., suffered no apparent injuries, a state patrol report said. He was driving a Ford LGT Conventiona. Doris Herington, 60, of Prior Lake, the driver of a Ford Focus that was among the cars involved, had a non life-threatening injury, the patrol said.

State Patrol Lt. Mark Peterson said there were no obvious signs that alcohol was involved in the accident. He didn't know if the Sailors used seat belts.

In Minneapolis on Friday night, Sharonda Renee Harrison, 26, of Minneapolis, was killed in a collision in which alcohol is suspected, police said. The man driving the other car was treated for serious injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center. The crash occurred at 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and Park Avenue S., said Sgt. William Palmer. Neither car carried passengers.

Alcohol is also suspected in a crash about 1:35 a.m. Saturday on Snelling Avenue in Roseville, police said. A man heading south from Hwy. 36 on Snelling was speeding and rear-ended another vehicle carrying four people near Har Mar Mall. The speeding driver wasn't injured and was booked on suspicion of felony vehicular operation, said Capt. Rick Mathwig.

The other vehicle carried a man, woman and two children. The male driver and a boy were in critical condition Saturday afternoon but are expected to live, Mathwig said. He said the woman and girl had less serious injuries. He wouldn't say if the four are related, where they were hospitalized or release any names.
