Wisconsin man arrested on Minnesota bigamy charge.

MANTORVILLE, MINN. -- A 39-year-old Racine, Wis., man is in custody on a rare charge of bigamy, the Dodge County sheriff said.

Michael Lee Henderson was arrested in Racine on a felony warrant out of Minnesota, said Sheriff Gary Thompson.

A warrant was issued last week after Henderson's first wife contacted Minnesota authorities when she learned that he had married again.

The criminal complaint alleges that Henderson married his first wife in Wisconsin in 1995, then met a woman in Rochester, Minn., and married her in Mantorville last year.

In Minnesota, bigamy is punishable by prison time and hefty fines.
