Fiery collision of pickup trucks kills one in northwestern Minnesota

A fiery collision of pickup trucks at an intersection in northwestern Minnesota killed one driver and injured two other people, authorities said today.

According to the State Patrol:

The wreck occurred late Tuesday afternoon, when a Chevrolet pickup heading east on County Rd. 2 failed to yield for a Ford pickup heading south on Hwy. 75. The Chevrolet struck the Ford broadside, rolled and caught fire.

The Chevrolet driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver and a passenger in the Ford, a father and son from Lidgerwood, N.D., suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were both wearing seat belts.
