A fiery, head-on collision on Saturday night in western Wisconsin killed two residents of Red Wing, Minn.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said Sunday that Scott Mikael Kull, 22, was northbound on Hwy. 63 in a sport-utility vehicle and trying to turn onto Pierce County Road Y when he crossed into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
The patrol said that Kull died in the 10 p.m. crash, as did Traci Lee Nannette Hardy, 30, who was a passenger in the pickup.
The pickup's driver, Trent B. Wentlandt, 25, of Bay City, Wis., was taken to Fairview Red Wing Hospital, where he was in stable condition Sunday evening.
Authorities said both vehicles were engulfed in flames after the crash in Martell Township.
