Son charged in fatal stabbing in St. Cloud

A Rosemount man was charged with second-degree murder Friday in the stabbing death of his mother at her St. Cloud home.
Chad Matthew Pulju, 40, was charged in the death of Geraldine D. Bennett, 68, early Thursday at the home on the 2700 block of Atwood Drive.
According to court documents, police were sent to the scene about 12:30 a.m. Thursday after neighbors heard a woman scream and a man hollering. When they arrived, they found Bennett covered in blood, with wounds to the face, neck and arms.
Authorities found a folding knife under Pulju's left leg, covered in blood, the complaint said.
Bennett was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where she died.
Pulju said he had no recollection of the events, according to the complaint.
