A forklift fell and pinned a worker at a cleaning supply company Wednesday morning in Lino Lakes, leaving him with serious injuries.
The man was driving the forklift when it fell backward from a loading dock outside a warehouse at Hillyard Inc., a cleaning equipment and supply company based in Missouri.
The man, in his 30s, fell out of the forklift as it rolled over, crushing his right leg and severely injuring his right arm, said Jerry Streich, fire chief for the Centennial Fire District.
Lino Lakes police officers and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene at 274 Apollo Dr. at about 7:40 a.m.
Firefighters used hydraulic tools and wood cribbing to free the man. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. His condition has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
