Legacy of Survival: Coming Home: Descendants of Dakota exiles will walk from Flandreau, S.D., across the Minnesota border to Pipestone for a welcoming ceremony to mark the 150th anniversary of the Dakota exile. The march begins at 8 a.m. at Flandreau, the border crossing is expected at about 10 a.m. and the event will conclude at noon at the Pipestone National Monument.
Ness Church: A healing commemoration will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the church, located five miles southwest of Litchfield, Minn.
