The name of a motorist from Belle Plaine who was killed Saturday afternoon in a two-car collision in south-central Minnesota was released Sunday by the State Patrol.

Marvin Schreiner, 58, died when his car, southbound on Morningside Avenue in Glencoe, was hit broadside by a westbound car that had crossed the median on Hwy. 212 in McCleod County. The driver of the car that struck Schreiner's, Leroy Meline, 60, of Norwood-Young America, suffered noncritical injuries, as did his passenger, Virginia Huddleston, 82, also of Norwood-Young America.

All involved were wearing seat belts and no alcohol use was detected, the patrol said. The crash remains under investigation.
