Green Party to hold caucuses tonight

Caucuses begin at 7 p.m. today

The Democrats, Republicans and Independents have had their caucuses. Now the Green Party of Minnesota will take its turn to select the party's candidates for president in straw polls at caucus meetings tonight.

Green Party candidates for president include Jesse Johnson, Cynthia McKinney, Kent Mesplay, Kat Swift and draft candidate Ralph Nader.

In addition to discussing and voting on potential candidates, party members will draft resolutions to be voted on at the Green Party endorsing convention in June.

Caucus locations are listed on the party's web site, www.mngreens.org, and on the Secretary of State's website, www.sos.state.mn.us. Causuces will begin at 7 p.m. today.
