Minneapolis police: Man who was beaten in June dies of injuries

A man beaten last month has died as a result of the injuries, Minneapolis police reported Sunday morning.
The beating took place on the night of June 29 around the area of 18th and Bryant Avenues N. Police found an adult man who had been "badly beaten," Sgt. Stephen McCarty said in a statement.
The name of the deceased had not been released as of Sunday night.
The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. On Saturday, the victim died, McCarty said.
On July 5 a teenager was arrested in connection with the beating. That same day an adult male turned himself in as well, McCarty said.
