The Onion is pulling the plug on the Twin Cities.
The satirical weekly will no longer offer its printed edition here, and it's also ending its coverage of the Twin Cities entertainment scene through its A.V. Club section, the local A.V. Club editor, Jason Zabel, said Friday in a posting on its website.
The Onion and the national version of the A.V. Club will continue to be available online, Zabel said.
Twin Cities ad sales, production and distribution of the printed Onion have been handled by the St. Paul Pioneer Press since 2010.
The A.V. Club is also ending its local coverage in Chicago and Denver, according to postings on those local sites.
