A new Miss Minnesota was crowned Saturday night at Eden Prairie High School.

Miss Northwest Siri Freeh, 22, of Lake Park in Becker County, was chosen from among 22 contestants in the 2012 Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant. She is a junior at the University of Minnesota, where she is a nursing major.

Freeh will go on to compete for the title of Miss America. That contest will be televised live on ABC-TV in January.
