A DEADLY TIMELINE

In less than two years, seven teenagers from the Princeton area died in these four crashes:

March 1, 2006: JoBeth Miller, 16, was wearing a seat belt in the back seat when the 17-year-old driver topped 70 mph on a hilly Sherburne County road, hit a ditch and rolled. The driver and another teen survived.

March 19, 2006: Tayler Otto, 15, was in a car with four other teens when the 18-year-old driver lost control on a gravel road and rolled. Tayler wasn't belted in; the others survived.

Oct. 5, 2006: Just before homecoming, Princeton High School junior Jon Schnackenberg, 16, died when he crossed the center line and was struck by a truck near Winona, where he used to live.

July 3, 2007: Three teens -- driver Brian Olson, 18, and riders Jordain Rust, 15, and Victoria Swanson, 17 -- died when they missed a stop sign on Hwy. 95 east of Princeton and collided with a truck. A 23-year-old woman, Lisa Vandervegt, died when she drove into the crash. Olson was wearing a belt; investigators couldn't determine if Swanson or Rust were.

Aug. 9, 2007: With no seat belt on, Jonathan Townsend, 18, died when his left rear wheel fell off because of loose lug nuts on Hwy. 169, throwing him from his 1972 Monte Carlo.
