Moving up

Bryan Ross has been promoted to lead Eide Bailly's Minneapolis tax practice. Ross has more than 25 years experience in public accounting. Ross will continue to lead the firm's international tax services group.

Abbot Downing, Minneapolis, hired Joseph Colianni as senior managing director of banking. Colianni was managing director in Wells Fargo's Financial Sponsors Portfolio Management Group. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he worked for nine years at RBC Capital Markets, where he was a principal in investment banking.

On the move

Rotenberg Associates Inc., Minneapolis, an attorney-led strategic communications firm, hired Kimberly Fields, former Minnesota Vikings director of civic and business affairs, as communications counsel.

Knutson Construction Services Inc., Rochester, named Kirk Falco assistant project manager. Falco has 12 years of residential and commercial construction experience.

Beehive PR hired Eric Davis as group director, where he leads agency engagements with clients such as Anser Innovation, Ergodyne, Hazeltine National Golf Club and Red Wing Shoes. Davis was a public relations director at Haberman Media + Marketing, Minneapolis, where he led communications strategy for a wide range of clients, including Volvo Cars of North America, National Cooperative Grocers Association, Wedge Co-op, Green Depot, CodeWeavers, and the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy's Food and Society Fellows.

Directors

At the University of Minnesota Foundation, Minneapolis, former foundation board chair Kris Johnson will become interim chair. Johnson is president of Affinity Capital Management and managing general partner of Affinity Ventures III, IV and V, LP. Her career includes executive positions at Cargill and Medtronic.

Honors

Unitron, a Plymouth company with products for hearing loss, was named Lifeworks Services' Employer of the Year.

Awards

Kathleen Norquist of Wyoming, Minn., has been named 2012 National Leader for the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. The award honors family and consumer sciences professionals who have made significant contributions to the field through their involvement with AAFCS.
