Aug. 23, 2011: A 38-year-old motorist, Anousone Phanthavong, of Roseville, who pulled his car onto the I-94 ramp at Riverside Avenue in Minneapolis, was struck and killed by an SUV that fled the scene.

Sept. 1: Investigators announced that the SUV that hit Phanthavong belonged to former Vikings standout Joe Senser. A day later, they revealed that Amy Senser, Joe’s wife, admitted she was driving.

Sept. 15: Amy Senser was charged with criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the crash. The trial would hinge on whether she knew she’d hit Phanthavong and fled, or didn’t realize she had hit a person.

April 23-May 1, 2012: Amy Senser was tried on three felony counts before Hennepin County Judge Daniel Mabley. Among those testifying were her family members and Amy Senser herself.

May 3: On the third day of jury deliberations, Senser was convicted of two felonies, including criminal vehicular homicide. The judge set her sentencing, which could be four years in prison, for July 9.
