Man killed in ATV crash near Avon is identified

A man who died over the weekend when he lost control of his all-terrain vehicle and struck a tree in Stearns County was identified Monday.
Daniel Nierenhausen, 19, crashed his ATV about a mile from his home south of Avon shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Nierenhausen died as he was being flown to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, the Sheriff's Office said.
