DULUTH - A Minnesota boy who went missing with his father nearly two weeks ago has been found safe.

Wyatt Nordrum, 7, of Brookston, and his dad, James Leon Nordrum Jr., 41, were found Saturday in the Stoney Brook area of St. Louis County. Sheriff's officials said tips from the public helped.

Wyatt was allegedly kidnapped March 27 by James Nordrum, who is in a custody battle with Wyatt's mother.

Nordrum's attorney, Terri Port, said the boy was uninjured and is reunited with his mother. Port said Wyatt was safe the whole time.

But Nordrum hurt himself when he learned authorities were closing in, Port said. She didn't know the nature of his injuries, but said he is in intensive care after surgery for self-inflicted wounds.
