Last update: January 27, 2008 - 12:30 AM

John Edwards, who finished a distant third in South Carolina’s Democratic primary, plans to bring his presidential campaign to Minnesota on Tuesday, the campaign announced Saturday night.

He will make a stop at the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, 710 Olive St., St. Paul. The free public event is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. For more information, go to www.johnedwards.com/stpaul .

While Edwards has yet to win a primary or caucus, his campaign, in a news release, cited a recent CNN poll showing him as the only Democrat who could beat all four leading Republicans in a national election.
