A 33-year-old Princeton, Minn., man who was believed to have killed a woman in East Bethel and who attempted to take his own life was in custody Saturday, authorities said.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said deputies had been called to a home in East Bethel just after noon Saturday.
A 14-year-old family member of the 35-year-old woman had found her body at the home, on Erskine Street NE., officials said.
The home is in a semi-rural area a few miles east of Hwy. 65, the main thoroughfare in the area.
Later, authorities said, officers went to a home in Princeton owned by an acquaintance of the suspect and arrested him after he apparently cut his own wrists and tried to set fire to himself and the home.
The suspect was in police custody at a hospital, the Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies declined to name the victim and would not discuss other details.
The county coroner and the Sheriff's Office are continuing to investigate. A decision by the Anoka County attorney's office on charges is expected by noon Monday, the Sheriff's Office said.
