Just as tax forms are flooding mailboxes, AARP and the St. Paul Public Library said Friday that they will team up again to deliver free tax preparation services in February.

AARP volunteers with expertise in tax preparation and accounting will assist library customers with electronic tax filing at five libraries around the city of St. Paul.

Days and times will vary, and participants may need to call for appointments.

Selected sites include Central Library, Hayden Heights Library, Sun Ray Library, Rondo Library and the West Seventh Community Center.

Last year, AARP and the St. Paul Public Library donated 3,892 hours of tax prep services.

They are two of several groups offering free tax help across Minnesota, mostly to low-income and elderly residents.

Sabathani Community Center in Minneapolis, the American Indian Center in Minneapolis, the Richfield Community Center and the AARP Office at the Mall of America are just a few.
