Twins nudge up prices on spring training tickets

If you're planning to get good seats so you can get close to players like Justin Morneau at Spring Training this year, it will cost you more. Ticket prices for Minnesota Twins spring training games at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, Fla., are getting slightly more expensive this year, the team announced Thursday.

Excluding three "premium" games, dugout box tickets will now go for $40, up from $39. Also increasing a buck are box ($26), reserved ($24) and drink rail ($25) tickets. Lawn tickets remain unchanged at $13.

The premium games are $4 more expensive for duguout box tickets and up $1 for box, reserved and drink rail. Premium lawn tickets remain at $16.

Thee premium games are March 9 (St. Louis Cardinals), March 11 (New York Yankees) and March 28 (Philadelphia Phillies).

There are discounts available for groups of 20 or more and season-ticket packages.

The Twins open spring training March 3 with a home game vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.

Single-game tickets go on sale Jan. 14 at 9 a.m. EST (8 a.m. CST). They will be available at www.twinsbaseball.com, by calling 1-800-33-TWINS, or visiting the Target Field or Hammond Stadium box offices.
