If snow on the ground constitutes a White Christmas, then Minnesotans can start humming that holiday standard.

But if snow coming down is the gauge, then it's a coin flip of a chance.

The National Weather Service office in Chanhassen this morning is reporting a 50 percent chance of snow on Christmas Day.

A one-horse open-sleigh ride shouldn't be too uncomfortable. The Christmas high is expected to be about 30.

For the rest of the week, look for highs in the mid- to upper 20s and lows in the teens, with no significant snow on the horizon.
