Beating homelessness

<p>&#149;&#160;A partnership of business leaders and others, with the support of Gov. Tim Pawlenty, announced a plan to raise $60 million by 2010. The group is called Heading Home Minnesota.</p>
<p>&#149;&#160;Heading Home Minnesota is co-chaired by Jim Frey, president of the Frey Foundation of Minnesota, and Carleen Rhodes, president of the St. Paul Foundation.</p>
<p>&#149;&#160;Among other things, the money is expected to help reach a goal of 4,000 new housing units that was announced in 2003 by another group. About 1,600 of those units have been built.</p>
