Minnesota energy assistance program
For the 2007-2008 heating season the number of approved applications for federal funds from the Minnesota Department of Commerce’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has reached 66,108. That’s up from 61,112 applications approved at this time last year. With an increasing need for help, the funds available for applicants is at it’s lowest level in years.
