The Hennepin County medical examiner's office has tentatively identified two men -- one found in a hallway and one in an alley --who were fatally shot Saturday.
The Hennepin County medical examiner's office on Sunday tentatively identified the two men who were fatally shot Saturday in Minneapolis as Najib A. Omar and Arie M. Jama.
The men were shot in a south Minneapolis apartment following an argument, police said. One man's body was found in the hall, and the other's was found in a nearby alley about 7:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of Pleasant Avenue S.
On Saturday, authorities said that the shootings were not random and that it was unclear whether anyone else was involved. On Sunday, police could not be reached for comment.
Omar, 25, of Minneapolis died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the medical examiner. Jama, 27, of St. Paul died of a gunshot wound to the chest and neck, the medical examiner's report said. He was found in the alley.
