A "free store" will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the rest of the week at the Winona Mall. People can donate cleaning supplies, cleaning products and personal hygiene items, which will be made available to those who need them. Food and clothing are not being accepted. Information about state highway closures in the area is available on the MnDOT website at www.511mn.org or by calling 511.

The Red Cross will send volunteers. For volunteering information, call 612-871-7676 or go to www.redcrosstc.org.

Donations are being accepted by the United Way and the Salvation Army. Checks can be made out to "United Way Disaster Fund" and sent to 902 E. Second Street, Winona, MN 55987 or to the Salvation Army and sent to 2445 Prior Avenue, Roseville, MN 55113. Write "Minnesota flooding" on the check.
