While the call for volunteers to help clean up southeastern Minnesota probably won't come for another day or two, here are ways that some groups are already helping.
RED CROSS TWIN CITIES: The Red Cross has its emergency response vehicle in the affected area and will send down volunteers in the days ahead. For volunteering information, call 612-871-7676 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or go to www.redcrosstc.org.
SALVATION ARMY: Three Salvation Army vehicles are in southeastern Minnesota. Donations can be made by mailing a check marked "Minnesota Flooding" to 2445 Prior Av., Roseville, MN 55113.
UNITED WAY: Donations are being accepted by the United Way of the Greater Winona Area. Checks can be made out to "United Way Disaster Fund," and sent to 902 E. Second St., Winona, MN 55987.
NECHAMA: The Jewish group that responds to natural disasters is preparing to send volunteers to the flooded areas. People interested in helping can call 763-732-0610.
