Need a job?

Last update: August 29, 2007 - 9:12 PM

You know the saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure"? Same goes for jobs at the Minnesota State Fair. Here's a sampling of fair's worst jobs, according to staff writer Kara McGuire:

• Cleaning up after pigs. (Both the pork and human kinds.)

• Picking meat off dozens of turkey carcasses to make tasty sandwiches. (Tedious, and tough on the hands!)

• Standing anywhere near a deep fryer. (Sweaty!)

• Directing traffic in a parking lot hour after hour after hour. (Boring!)

• Manning the balloon-dart game. (Duck!)

• Cleaning up puke. (Camaraderie, schmamaraderie. )

• Read about how McGuire cleaned up at the fair on her blog: www.startribune.com/blogs/kablog.

• For more on the dirtiest jobs in the Twin Cities, see Source in Sunday's Star Tribune.
