New Twin Cities news website launches

Last update: November 8, 2007 - 4:06 PM

MinnPost.com, a new website focusing primarily on reporting in Minnesota, went live Thursday morning.

The online newspaper will feature the work of freelance journalists, including some former Star Tribune staffers. Other writers will be familiar to Minnesota news readers.

The site, which will be funded primarily by reader contributions, will publish at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday. It will have a PDF version and print about 2,000 copies in a dead-tree version that will be distributed around the metro area.
