Foley teen dies in 2-car crash

Teen killed in crash near Foley.

A 16-year-old girl from Foley, Minn. died Tuesday in a two-car accident, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Katherine Kutz was a passenger in a car that was hit broadside by a 2006 Ford Super Duty pick-up truck at the intersection of Hwy. 95 and County Road 9, also known as 190th Avenue, in Glendorado, Minn. She died at the scene, the patrol said.

Ryan Hackler, 16, the driver of the vehicle Kutz was riding in, was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with unspecified injuries. Hackler also is from Foley.

The pick-up driver, Jason Ross, 34, of Isanti, was not hurt, the patrol said.

The crash is under investigation.
