The final answer won't come until Dec. 1 when judges make their selections, but starting Wednesday the public can vote for their favorites by casting at ballot at College of Visual Arts in St. Paul where the designs will go on view at 11:30 a.m.
They also are on view at www.winter-carnival.com/buttons.
Guest can drop their ballot in a box located in the school's gallery, or send an e-mail to buttons@winter-carnival.com to indicate their favorites.
Seven students and two alumni of the school at 344 Summit Avenue submitted 32 designs that will be on view. They will be displayed in eight groups of four each. Judges will select one group of four designs to be used for the four buttons that will be sold to promote the "Coolest Celebration on Earth."
The St. Paul Winter Carnival will run Jan. 23-Feb. 3.
