Vandals strike at Austin cemetery

Last update: July 25, 2006 - 9:23 AM

AUSTIN, Minn. — Vandals have struck at an Austin cemetery.

Police say vandals knocked over a headstone and two-dozen flower pots at Calvary Cemetery late last week.

Investigators have received complaints recently about people drinking in the cemetery at night.

No dollar estimate of the damage is available, but the headstone was broken when it tipped.

Cemetery officials say their insurance will probably pay for the damage.
