Minneapolis police investigating 3 shootings

It was a busy night for Minneapolis police who were investigating three separate shootings, in which four people were wounded.

The first happened around 7:50 p.m. Thursday. Two boys in the area of 12th and Morgan Avenues N. were shot, police said. They were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Their conditons were not known Friday morning.

Around 10:45 p.m. Thursday, a man sitting in his house near the intersection of 37th St. and Oakland Avenue S. was shot by another man who was on a bicycle.

The victim, 28, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was in satisfactory condition, said Christine Hill, a hospital spokeswoman.

About three hours later, police were called to the intersection of E. 24th St. and Portland Avenue S. When they arrived, the found that a man had been shot. KSTP-TV reported that police believe the shooting was drug-related.

The victim, 40, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. He was in satisfactory condition Friday, Hill said.

No one has been arrested in any of these shootings.
