Man shot, wounded in St. Paul

A 20-year-old man was hospitalized with what police characterized as life-threatening injuries after being shot Tuesday night in St. Paul.

The man, who was not identified, was shot outside 641 Charles Av. about 9 p.m, according to St. Paul police. The shots were fired from a vehicle with three people in it that then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. At 10:30 p.m., police were still at the scene and said it was not yet clear why the victim was targeted or what the motive might have been.
