Two more Rosedale Center security guards and a third man who told police he acted "as a lookout" have been charged with stealing everything from vegetable choppers to shoes from the Roseville mall.
Bernard Homich, 23; Jerry Lee, 21, and Dave Ankarlo, 23, all of St. Paul, were charged Monday in Ramsey County District Court with second- and third-degree burglary.
The complaints said Homich and Ankarlo were security guards at the mall between March and May of this year. Both worked with Paul Fransen and Cory Woodhams, who were charged in June with stealing merchandise and cash amounting to more than $20,000. Woodhams' roommate Ryan Schwerin also was charged in June with receiving stolen property.
According to the complaint, Ankarlo admitted he'd stolen everything from a vegetable chopper and food slicer to Abercrombie & Fitch clothing during eight store burglaries in March, April and May. He said he was with Fransen each time.
Ankarlo told police that on June 6 he threw away all the merchandise he'd stolen.
Homich told police that on May 2, he and Fransen used a crow bar to pry open the back door of the Foot Locker store. Homich said he took a football jersey and some boots. He denied taking part in any other burglaries.
Lee said he participated in the Foot Locker burglary by "acting as a lookout" but he denied being involved in any other burglaries, the complaint said. He admitted taking shoes and other items.
